Anson Diabetes Self Management Program
The Anson Diabetes Self Management Program is an educational program fully accredited by the American Diabetes Association
Managed by the Anson Parish Nurse and Health Ministry, Anson Community Hospital
People with diabetes may choose from 6 three-hour classes each month. Both evening and day classes are offered
Participants receive free literature and diabetic materials
Participants learn self care skills, nutrition, medications & monitoring, prevention & detection of complications, management of acute problems & sick days, goal setting, & physical activities
A diabetes support group, open to anyone, meets the last Thursday of each month at 10:30 a.m. at Calvary Episcopal Church in Wadesboro

After School Kids Cafe open Monday through Friday from 2:30 until 5:30 p.m. Provides homework assistance and a nutritious snack.
Computer skill classes on Saturday mornings 9:00 to 12:00. Three levels. Call to register 704.826.8737.
Serving hot lunches first Sunday of every month from 1:00 to 3:00. Leave a donation.
Fax, copy and computer services are offered daily from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m.
Staff Assistant on site Monday through Friday 1:00 to 5:30 p.m.
